How the game changes
- The World defines 340 checks across pickups, event rewards, finite shop slots and the starting skill. Skills, movement aptitudes, equipment, quest objects and materials form the item pool.
- Choose Ending A or Ending B. Progressive Aptitudes order selected movement upgrades; healing and fast travel start unlocked by default.
- Version 0.1.8 adds a configurable stele requirement for the Aegis Curio. Set zero for the alternate requirement or raise the count to add extra steles to the pool.
- Choose a supported starting respite and a wall-breaking starting skill. The client grants spirits and adds switches to four doors for alternate routes.
- Adjust relic costs, skill-upgrade requirements, Attuner Arts and music. Chapter settings control difficulty scaling; keep the minimum at or below the maximum.
- Boss randomization now distinguishes a shuffled mode from a full randomized mode. Both remain experimental; selected boss phases are excluded. Transition and ordinary enemy randomization are separate options.
- Progression and foreign AP shop items use a fixed material price; boss recollections provide materials to support purchases. The in-game window includes AP connection and optional DeathLink controls.
- Meta Progression keeps progression items local and places them along newly opened routes. It intentionally changes the amount of dependency on other players.
Before you start
- Use both 0.1.8 components: the named Ender Magnolia APWorld and EnderMagnolia.Randomizer.zip. Extract the client beside the Steam game executable in EnderMagnolia/Binaries/Win64, then launch the game. This remains an early release.
- Start with a separate new save and keep backups. The client does not validate an AP seed/slot identity against the loaded game save, and switching its item source can modify live game tables.
- Prefer connecting before starting the save. The review could not establish reliable recovery when scouting completes after game initialization, when the connection drops during a check, or when a completed ending must be reported after reconnecting.
- Receipt counters are saved on the server separately from the game. Interrupted saves, restored saves and repeated delivery can leave items and counters out of sync; lossless recovery is not established.
- The packaged setup and overview documents remain TODO. Release notes provide extraction instructions, but a complete AP generation and first-connection walkthrough is still missing.
- Keep boss/enemy replacement and decoupled transitions for experimental runs. Allow Multiple Skills changes combat freedom without being modeled by the access logic. Keep chapter bounds in ascending order.
- Windows x64 is the delivered platform. Fixed game hooks have no exact game-version guard, and Linux/native co-op compatibility is not established. This is a native in-game client, not the Ender Lilies LiveSplit component.
- The APWorld and delivered identifier tables were matched; the native DLL and frozen generator lack complete source/build correspondence. Review conclusions describe visible code and packaging, not an independent playtest.
